We hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for another fun and exciting school year at Bear Valley!

This year brings a few transitions for our PTA Board and committee chairs. Several of our current PTA volunteers have 5th graders who will be moving on to middle school next year, which means we’ll have some important roles to fill for the 2027–28 school year. If you’ve ever considered getting involved with the PTA or serving as a committee chair, this is a wonderful year to jump in, shadow a current volunteer, and learn the ropes before stepping into a role next year.

Our President, Katie Rohrs, has accepted a position as a classroom aide and will be gradually passing the baton to Adrienne Michel. While Katie will be stepping back from some of her PTA responsibilities, she will continue working closely with Adrienne throughout the school year to help ensure a smooth and successful transition. Adrienne will continue serving as our Fundraising Coordinator while also preparing to step into the President role for the 2027–28 school year. 

As Adrienne prepares for that transition, we are also looking ahead for someone interested in becoming our Fundraising Coordinator for 2027–28. This year is a great opportunity to work alongside Adrienne, learn what goes into the role, and see firsthand how she has helped make Bear Valley’s fundraising efforts so successful.

We appreciate your patience and support as our PTA works through these transitions, and we would love to welcome some new faces to the team. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there is a place for you! Please reach out if you’re interested in getting involved!
